A Plain Account of the Nature and End of the Sacrament of the Lord's-Supper. Written by Benjamin Hoadly. In Which all the texts in the New Testament, relating to it, are produced and explained and the Whole Doctrine about it, drawn from Them alone. To which are added, Forms of Prayer. Printed in London for James, John and Paul Knapton, at the Crown in Ludgate-Street. Leather bound.
Benjamin Hoadley (1734-1761) was an English clergyman who was a Bishop of Bangor, Hereford, Salisbury and of Winchester.
It was a controversial book written in the 1700's that challenged traditional views on the sacrament. It was first published in 1735, with editions and other printings from 1751 and 1772. Not sure which year this one was printed as it does not say.
This is a beautiful, old, historic book. It is in great shape considering this. Please check out all photos and feel free to ask questions. Sold as is.
